a poetry anthology by the Primary Pupils Poets at Thornhill Primary School (Nursery - Year 6), working with poet-in-residence, Paul Lyalls

From 2010-2022, All Change & Thornhill Primary School worked in partnership on a project which placed poetry & professional poets at the heart of the curriculum. Poet-in-Residence Paul Lyalls, worked with children in every year group. Working with a poet throughout their school journey, children developed confidence and creativity in expressing themselves through both written and spoken word. Thornhill’s Primary Pupil Poets continue to perform their work annually for public audiences at local festivals and alongside legendary literary voices such as Michael Rosen, John Hegley and Adisa. The project has published 3 Words are Birds poetry anthologies.
