WORDS ARE BIRDS

WORDS ARE BIRDS is a brand new book of poetry created by pupils at Thornhill Primary School working with All Change associate artist and poet-in-residence Paul Lyalls.

Designed and illustrated by Amara Antoinette, with a foreword from Lemn Sissay, the book features poetry by children in every year group, from Nursery to Year 6 -

‘After a unique year of locked doors and “new normals”, they act as a particularly special snapshot of this generation. The topics range from new pets to computer games and from injuries to dinosaurs.’

WORDS ARE BIRDS will be launched with a special PLAYGROUND POETRY PICNIC - with performances by the pupil poets and Paul Lyalls.
