Steps Ahead – A Million Minutes

Working with Arsenal in the Community and a Sunday Times Sports Picture Editor, young people and artists Yemisi Blake and Tony Nwachukwu explored the story of somewhat forgotten football hero Laurie Cunningham.

The project created an exhibition and events, which celebrated a local hero who travelled from Islington to Real Madrid, via fashion, dance and music. The events were attended by Laurie’s friends and family, including football legends Cyrille Regis and Brendan Batson.
