OCCUPY, FLIPSIDE and Platform Youth Hub programme

From 2012-14 All Change took on the role of Creative Producer for Platform, supporting Isledon Arts to animate this new creative youth hub for young people in Islington, and bringing the creative vision, established with the Young Advisors from 2009-11, to fruition.

Our approach saw a weekly programme offer of workshops and events for young people aged 13-25, co-produced with a team of Young Creative Producers and delivered with a group of partner arts organisations, including Life Drawing with Cubitt, a Film Club, professional performances by visiting companies – including the premiere of a Candoco dance commission by Javier de Frutos, Write Ideas in partnership with Hot Key Books and The Edge Writers’ group, and Words Day – a music production and creative writing partnership with Apples and Snakes. With funding secured from Arts Council of England, All Change delivered 2 innovative and ambitious combined arts projects in collaboration with some exceptional arts partners, culminating in immersive performance events a cross the whole building – OCCUPY in 2012/13 with Apples & Snakes, Wayne McGregor|Random Dance, Cubitt Education and Islington Community Theatre (Company 3), with Barbican Box providing specially designed boxes of stimulus by Theatre de Complicité to inspire devised work for this project; and FLIPSIDE with Candoco Dance Company, Apples & Snakes and Cubitt in 2013/14.
