Pulsation 1997-2000

Pulsation was All Change’s 3-year music development programme for young people funded through the first round of the national lottery Awards for All via the Arts Council.  Pulsation was about: collaborations between DJs, poets, drummers, bands, songwriters, musicians and performers; mixing spoken word, music the rhythm to create fresh and original work; bringing young poets, DJs and songwriters out of their bedrooms, bands out of the rehearsal rooms and making it real; creating a lively scene of gigs, shows, performances and events.

Drop in the mix 1999-2005

A 6-year youth music programme originally based in Hilldrop Community Centre targeting disenfranchised young people aged 13-19 living on 6 Islington social housing estates.  The project developed into after schools work for young people with low educational achievement (run in a north Islington secondary school) and an evening music programme for young people not in education, training or employment (run at the YMCA).  Funded by the DfES Neighbourhood Support Fund.

2stepz 1999-2003

A 3-year youth music and digital arts project targeting young people aged 13-19 not in education, training or employment and funded by the DfES Neighbourhood Support Fund via the Community Development Foundation.
