Suzanne Lee - Artistic Director

Suzanne became All Change’s Artistic Director in 2006. Her relationship with the company began much earlier in 1991, with a six-month voluntary trainee role on the Hilldrop Community Festival in Islington.

From 1991-2006 she worked as a freelance community artist and project director, alongside and in collaboration with some exceptional artists and partners, for both All Change and other arts companies in London and across the UK; providing her with a rich foundation of knowledge, experience and understanding of socially engaged arts practice and what it can achieve.

Her vision and leadership of the the organisation is shaped by her belief in the power of arts activism and the essential role arts and culture plays in building connection and understanding between people. She is committed to being ambitious for artists and communities; the value of collaboration and partnerships; and to using the arts to achieve a more equal society; .

An arts activist and combined-arts practitioner - specialising in photography, video, installation and live arts in her own practice, Suzanne has a BA (Hons) in Fine Art – Middlesex Polytechnic [1986-89] and an MA in Public Art – Chelsea School of Art [1992–93]. She is a founding member of #Islington4Women.
