Gwen started teaching English, Drama and Media Studies becoming a Head in Islington where she was committed to increasing the school's community provision.

In turn that led to All Change at the Angel, a community play put on at Sadler’s Wells and All Change was established. Since then Gwen has worked on education policy, developing technical and vocational opportunities and on improving young people's access to university education.
