 From the hundreds of images created as part of the project, 15 have been chosen to be produced as postcards.
To celebrate the launch of the new postcards, on Saturday 4 November 2006 a red Routemaster bus left Sadler’s Wells Theatre at 10am filled with Islington residents of all ages and from all parts of the globe who took part in Real Postcards.
The bus made a special tour of some of London’s most well known landmarks – the Millennium Bridge, London Eye, Tate Modern, the Natural History Museum and more – stopping off along the way to hand out cards to the public. The bus ended its journey back in Islington at Sadler’s Wells, with a party for the participants and their family and friends.
