Arts Award

All Change has delivered Arts Award (Trinity Guildhall and Arts Council England) since 2008, supporting over 100 young people to achieve Bronze (Level 1), Silver (Level 2) and Gold (Level 3 – 35 UCAS points), through participation in arts projects in informal settings.

We continue to develop ways to integrate this accreditation into projects, to enable young people who may not flourish in main stream education, to achieve qualifications which recognise their creative achievements. Young people have gone from achieving Bronze to Gold, to becoming Arts Award Advisors supporting others to achieve their awards. In 2009, All Change worked with Arts Council England, University of the Arts London and Oval House on a programme to support young people to achieve Gold. Keisha Riley Douglas and Grace Mick devised and delivered Wise Words a project with Inspire young parents project, CSM [Central St. Martins] and artist Yemisi Blake resulting in a performance at Shoreditch festival and a publication. In 2015, All Change young leaders worked with their peers at Candoco Dance Company and Almeida Theatre to interrogate the benefits of Arts Award for young people, and All Change took part in a Shared Arts Award initiative with companies in Islington and Camden supporting young people to achieve elements of their Arts Award by engaging with programmes across different arts organisations.
