TOP TIPS for coping during the Covid-19 #StayAtHome from our
Inspire! young parents:

  • Keep it simple! Try doing activities with your child that focus on one colour each week e.g the colour RED - finding red things in your house, looking for red things out of the window, eating red food, drawing or painting with the colour red

  • Try to remember that this situation is temporary and that things will get better again!

  • When you are having a difficult day or struggling with the idea of the lockdown, try to think of something that you are currently grateful for e.g. a roof over our heads, lovely weather, technology to stay connected with each other

  • Use the time to learn new skills. Make the most of the time when children are sleeping!

  • Use this time to find out new things about your child.

  • Don't be too hard on yourself - perfection isn't progress, if you stumble it is ok.

  • Even though we miss the outside, enjoy what you can and soak up the Vitamin D when you can

  • Don't doubt yourself - we are human! Be sure to remind yourself of what you're achieving.
