National Portrait Gallery and Photographers’ Gallery

On 8 May 2007 we visited the ‘Face of Fashion’ exhibition (http://www.npg.org.uk/fashion) at the National Portrait Gallery and ‘Found: Shared The Magazine Photowork’ and ‘Joachim Schmid: Selected Photoworks 1982-2007’ at the Photographers’ Gallery.

At the Photographers’ Gallery, the group met Janice McLaren, Head of Education and Projects, who showed us around the exhibitions. She also invited the group to take part in the Gallery’s Teen Talk programme. Shanice and Evelyn took on the challenge!

On 9 August 2007 we returned to the National Portrait Gallery to see the Devotional exhibition (http://www.npg.org.uk/devotional/index.asp) which we were shown around by the curator, Eddie Otchere. We also had a look around the BP Portrait Award Show and took part in some of the interactive activities for children. Afterwards we all went to Pizza Hut in Leicester Square.
