Tammy is a special cat. He is big and fluffy with a face that’s half green and half blue. Tammy lives in a little house in the country with his owner. Tammy is a lazy cat, he loves sleeping in his armchair.
The sunlight shines through the window onto Tammy’s face. He tries to bury his head under his paw, but the sunlight is too bright.

Frustrated, Tammy stands on his all fours; he stretches and has a big yawn. He jumps down from his armchair and makes his way towards the cat flap to do his morning toilet. He drags himself through the cat flap and looks towards the back of the garden where he knows he is meant to go to the toilet. But it looks such a long way away. Instead he uses his owners newly grown rose bush that he is forbidden to go near.
Tammy finishes his business; his next thought is his breakfast. Tammy is greeted by his owner
“Good morning Tammy Cat, I hope you have not used my roses as a toilet”
Tammy cat ‘miaows’ and gobbles up his chicken chunks his owner has laid out for him.
Like every morning Tammy’s owner is getting ready to go to the shop for her bread and milk.
“Tammy cat” his owner says “While I am out I want you to wash the dishes and sweep up the living room”
Tammy looks on blankly. The front door closes and Tammy looks at all the dirty dishes that have mounted up.
Suddenly, Tammy has an idea. Instead of washing the dishes he could just lick them clean, that way he does not need to get his paws wet. So off he goes licking every plate, cup and glass enjoying every moment. He then realises he has saved time by licking the plates so now he can fit in a nap.

Off Tammy walks to his armchair, while he is falling asleep he is thinking how far away the broom is.
Suddenly he is awoken by the path gate. It’s his owner and he has not even finished his chores. Like a shot he jumps up and heads for the broom cupboard upstairs. But, there is not enough time because Tammy can now hear footsteps and there getting closer to the front door. He then runs and uses his fluffy tail to sweep everything under the rug. He finishes just in time to his owner closing the front door.
“Tammy why is my rose bush dead”
His owner asks while walking towards the kitchen
“Tammy why are all my plates and cups slimy”
His owner is not very happy. She continues to walk towards the living room
“Tammy why is there a pile under my rug?”
Tammy purrs and brushes himself around the owner’s ankles
“Oh Tammy you are a lazy lazy cat”
Tammy thinks his day has finished but………
“Tammy I will watch you closely until all your chores are done properly”.
So, Tammy re- starts all his chores. He is now an upset Tammy cat because if he had of done his chores properly in the first place he would have been finished and spent the rest of his day sleeping to his heart content.
