I went to the Devotional exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. I went with some of the other girls, and I took my daughter Shamani.

There were photos of Leona Lewis, Dynamite, Shola Ama and others. It was alright. The place was clean. I’d never been to the gallery before. I’m not really interested in paintings and things.

It was what I expected – pictures everywhere. I didn’t expect the writing of all the names around the people. That looked wicked.

The wood thing was good too. Just outside the little room where the Devotional was there was this thing outside which was shaped into a man’s head. It was just outside the little room in another exhibition. It looked wicked, made all from wood – proper detailed and everything. I hadn’t seen anything like it before.

I haven’t been back to the place since and wouldn’t really want to. I’m not really into that kind of thing. I prefer going to see singers and acting – bashment, hip hop and R&B but mostly I prefer to just stay in my house and listen to music.

I did enjoy the day though. It was good playing with Shevin (Billie’s son) around Leicester Square – you can see in the photos.

Camilla gave me a camera to take photos on the day as well. These are here too. The one of Shevin was taken at Holloway Road train station on the way there.
