They’re from Antigua which is where I’m from and they’re formerly known as Burning Flames.
There are 4 of them. They all sing but there’s a lead singer, guitarist, drummer and pianist.
It’s fast and hard to dance to if you’re a beginner. I find it easy. You have to whine your waist!!
They’re very old. I’ve seen them live in Antigua and in London. I like that they’re from my home country and the stuff they write about makes me laugh.
My favourite song is called ‘quad ride’, about riding a quad bike. ‘do as the Romans do’ is the funny one. So is ‘kick up dust’. They wear little masks and bandanas.
In my home country there is a club called Lions but its outside. When that song ‘kick up dust’ comes on they all throw sand and water and stuff, like carnival!
In London I saw them at Tudor Rose which is a big club in Southall. They came in November for our country’s independence.
They’re coming back for Notting Hill carnival in August!!
