The choosing of TUPAC SHAKUR
by Billie Jade Harris

I have chose to write about Mr Shakur because alongside Biggie Smalls he is one of the most remembered rappers in HipHop’s history, also very respected to date.

What’s more amazing is that he became more bigger in the industry after he had passed away and now to date is a legend.

He is remembered for his lyrics, his poetry, his crazy ways and unique qualities but beside all these things there was a lot to him that we all didn’t know.

Tupac was very influential to all ages and cultures and was able to reach out to all through his words.

I have learnt that some people live a life-time and some pass young either way we are all guaranteed death but despite this we all have a purpose in life whatever it may be.

Tupac knew he was going to die young and for someone to die so young and still be living through music and poetry is an amazing thing it just goes to show you can still grace people with your presence when you no longer around, that alone is worth respect.

Tupac died in 1996 and still today 2007 he continues to influence and touch people around the world.

I think Tupac struggles to express his feelings so the best way for him to do so was to write it down. He expressed his heart through poetry and his anger through rap. I think he just wanted to be heard and by whatever means he did so but he is still a success.

The meeting of…

Absorb the individual knowledge of one’s self, by stepping in one’s shoe and experiencing first hand one’s life.

If I met Tupac I would ask… for a man with so much life on the inside why portray a different one on the outside? You were always uncomfortable with your exterior and it caused you to die.

I’m angry with you because you could have been or in fact still are a great teacher, but your circles were wrong, the youth of today need that positive side of you, need to learn from your experiences, need to gain your knowledge. You had beauty oozing out of you but portray a different side, you got caught up in the race that you did not know you entered and got carried away, but I love that in your writing you still ooze beauty, intelligence and difference.
