All Change is delighted to be a lead partner, with Free Word Centre, Islington Council’s Library and Heritage Services and Arts Service in Word2012 - a three-work celebration of reading, writing and freedom of expression with activities and events going on across the borough packed with works created specifically for the Festival. You can enjoy a range of events, exhibitions and performances involving some of the most impressive and exciting artists, writers and organisations in the borough.

B – young women’s project
The B project is a peer-led initiative, which has been set up to explore what young women aged 13-19 in Islington, want to do in their spare time, to introduce them to services, to find out what’s missing, and to influence what is provided for them. 6 peer-leaders aged 15-21, supported by a team of amazing artists are exploring ideas and developing new projects and events for young women.

Platform Festival 2011
Developing on from the MyPlace project, All Change, in partnership with Islington Council, is directing the inaugural Platform Festival – an arts festival for children and young people which takes place from 15-31 July 2011 to launch the new Platform youth hub at Hornsey Road Baths. The festival will feature work by young people aged 13-19 in Islington in a range of media created in collaboration with arts companies including Sadler’s Wells, Almeida Projects, CandoCo, Scarabeus, Apples & Snakes, Free Word, Cubitt and Little Angel Puppet Theatre. The commissioned projects aim to develop young people’s relationship with and awareness of Platform and the wider arts community in Islington, and to create an extraordinary celebration of young people’s creativity.
Painted Portraits
Photography artist, Leticia Valverdes, worked with people from migrant communities who use Islington Council’s NRPF (No Recourse to Public Funds) service to develop a series of ‘painted portraits’. Participants worked with Leticia to develop portraits of themselves and their families as they wish to be seen. Read on…
