Wise Words, Islington 2008/9

As part of a Gold Arts Award project, The Inspire! young parents, worked with All Change and Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design to present an original spoken word and combined arts performance, Wise Words, at Shoreditch Festival, Responding to a theme of wise words, the young parents created and developed sayings that parents pass on to their children into a live spoken word performance with specially designed dresses and jewellery, a backdrop of photographs and a specially created soundtrack.

This project was a partnership between the Arts Award, London, University of the Arts, London, Hoxton Hall, ‘A’ Team Arts, Oval House Theatre, Rolling Sound and All Change.

As part of the project Keisha Riley Douglas and Grace Mick achieved Gold Arts Award qualifications (Level 3).
